Follow-up Comment #61, bug #58953 (project octave):
If I remember correctly, the dispatch_class is set so that function handles
defined in class methods will work properly. But that may be left over from
before my recent refactoring of the function handle implementation. If it is
not needed here, then we should remove it. I suppose we can do that now and
see whether any problems show up.
What should we do with this patch? My preference is to apply it to stable.
