URL: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?59401> Summary: Automatic variable `argn` no longer works Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: mmuetzel Submitted on: Mon 02 Nov 2020 05:43:34 PM CET Category: Interpreter Severity: 3 - Normal Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Regression Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Release: 6.0.92 Discussion Lock: Any Operating System: Any _______________________________________________________ Details: I previously reported this as a bug in the struct package (bug #59342). But this might actually be a regression in Octave 6. The automatic variable `argn` is no longer assigned. This still worked in Octave 5.2.0. I couldn't find documentation for `argn' in the manual. But it is mentioned in the docstring for `whos`. Was that automatic variable removed on purpose? In this case, it should probably at least be mentioned in the NEWS file. Usually, we give 2 major release deprecation time... _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?59401> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
