Follow-up Comment #18, bug #58411 (project octave): I think this is a different problem. The warning() function only prints something if the ID is not empty. This is Matlab-compatible because a common construct might be warnmsg = ''; ... code which assigns warnmsg only if a problem is found ... warning (warnmsg); This produces a warning only when warnmsg is not empty. The same thing applies to the warning ID as well. In this case, I modified your ErrorHandler function to test isempty (S.identifier) and it is empty so no warning is printed.
