Follow-up Comment #46, bug #57033 (project octave):
I'm okay with resolving this in the most straightforward way possible. It
seems easiest to just detect at configure/compilation time that this is a
mixed 64-bit/32-bit system and disable SPQR and use CXSPARSE instead.
