Update of bug #59848 (project octave): Status: Works For Me => Confirmed _______________________________________________________ Follow-up Comment #7: I can reproduce the problem with the data files uploaded by Hartmut. If I execute 'file dataA.csv' I get dataA.csv: UTF-8 Unicode (with BOM) text, with CR line terminators I think this is the source of the problem. The line terminators are neither UNIX (LF) nor Windows (CR LF), but old-style Macintosh line terminators (CR). I used a text editor and search and replace function to substitute UNIX LF for the CR characters and then dlmread works correctly.
