Follow-up Comment #29, bug #59820 (project octave): I'm not sure it is worth the effort to bisect. It is pretty clear from the error messages that this has to do with the visibility settings. We won't revert that completely. There are two ways forward: Either make visibility work on Mac (for which bisecting will most likely not help). Or compile without visibility settings on Mac (for which bisecting isn't necessary). For the second approach, I submitted a patch in comment #17. Could you please apply it on top of the current default branch, run the bootstrap script, and configure with "--disable-lib-visibility"?
