Follow-up Comment #5, bug #59701 (project octave):
Torsten: Thanks for the fix. It seems to work well except that even when the
filter checkbox is selected in the history or workspace windows, I have to
click on the textbox entry widget for it to accept input. That's different
from the way that the file browser window works. It accepts input in the
textbox entry widget immediately when I move the mouse over the file browser.
Also, I noticed something strange with gnome. I can get in a state such that
if I have the mouse pointer over the Octave window and use the gnome keyboard
shortcut to move to another gnome workspace, it temporarily moves to the new
workspace immediately but pops back to the one where Octave is located. That
was surprising but maybe it's just a "feature" of the focus-follows-mouse mode
and the workspace switching feature?
