Follow-up Comment #6, bug #59952 (project octave):
Hi Olaf.
The weird hanging behaviour was occurring when I was running the dev version
via `make run`. The correct package appeared loaded in pkg list, so I didn't
think the 'other' parallel package would interfere.
However, I removed my standard installation of parallel v4.0.0 as you asked,
and I created a tar.gz of the dev version via `make dist` and installed that
normally in octave. Now I get the same behaviour as you.
Happy for the bug to be closed, thank you for your patience and diligence.
Looking forward to the package release with the fix :)
