Follow-up Comment #9, bug #60058 (project octave): Ah ok, I understood. You are right, it shall be clarified, what precisely the output of version('-java') is. Maybe docs shall give a hint that it is more than the version. It would be helpful in deciding whether regular expressions are the right means to treat. Also it shall be documented what happens if java is not installed at all.
