Follow-up Comment #14, bug #32497 (project octave): I contacted the author of m_map about the encoding issue directly, and he asked me to test the attached file. Unfortunately, I haven't found a self-contained test case here or in the discourse thread. I hope it's ok with him if I share his function here. Does the attached file prevent the encoding error?
