URL: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?60411> Summary: build: might be nice to warn if epstool not found, similar to ghostscript Project: GNU Octave Submitted by: mtmiller Submitted on: Sat 17 Apr 2021 01:14:38 PM PDT Category: Configuration and Build System Severity: 1 - Wish Priority: 5 - Normal Item Group: Build Failure Status: None Assigned to: None Originator Name: Originator Email: Open/Closed: Open Release: dev Discussion Lock: Any Operating System: GNU/Linux _______________________________________________________ Details: When building Octave from hg, the epstool command is required to build the images that go into the user manual. This is similar to the way that ghostscript is used under the hood by some print commands. It might be nice to show a warning just like we do for ghostscript if the user runs configure and epstool is not in PATH. Basically a copy/paste of the ghostscript warning. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <https://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?60411> _______________________________________________ Message sent via Savannah https://savannah.gnu.org/
