Follow-up Comment #4, bug #60580 (project octave):

I'm not quite sure that this bug report really remains valid for the struct
package: The configure test fails due to '-Werror'. Without this flag, it
produced a deprecation warning (which was known and the corresponding warning
output was suppressed with a compiler flag)...
