"u - Output vector. If v is a row vector or scalar, u is a row vector. If v is
a column vector, u is also a column vector."
odd that with all of the tests we added to that thing, we missed this simple
one.
at first glance, since isrow() and iscolumn() both pass for a scalar, this is
simply caused by the first check at line 194 passing. making the check an
'isrow' and flipping the order of the if / else should fix it. will try it
out, add a test, and prepare a patch.
