Follow-up Comment #11, bug #61994 (project octave):

I pushed the following additional change and creating figures during the build
process and things like


./run-octave --eval "sombrero; pause (1)"


appear to work for me.

But I forgot to test the original case until after I pushed and now I'm again
seeing crashes when exiting the GUI when classdef objects exist. 
Whac-a-mole!
