Follow-up Comment #17, bug #62308 (project octave):
No need to be sorry. It's also my impression that startup/shutdown is complex
with many different sequences of events and use cases to have in mind. I very
much appreciate the work you did in that area.
Do you think the change proposed in comment #12 is ok?
Would it be ok to make `interpreter::shutdown` a public function again for
Octave 7.2?
