Follow-up Comment #25, bug #62412 (project octave):

matlab's public facing documentation for quadv is here:
https://www.mathworks.com/help/matlab/ref/quadv.html

that's really all we have to go off of. no cited references either, unless
older versions of the matlab documentation can be found that provided more
detail.
