Follow-up Comment #3, bug #63014 (project octave):
I have tried a few things and tested Octave on my Macbook pro. On
Mac the grid lines are OK. So, this appears to be a Fedora issue.
Could you consider using the code for setting grid marks that is used for
setting the axes?
