Follow-up Comment #8, bug #46830 (project octave):
Reviewing old bug reports. The code in comment #7 takes only 80 milliseconds
for me in current Octave 8 for elementwise multiplication and 1.4 seconds for
full matrix multiplication.
Is this still a performance problem for current Octave compared to current
Matlab?
