Follow-up Comment #5, bug #63129 (project octave):

the .bat file does call msys to initialize it - my guess is soemthing with the
temp dir mounting

in the installed files /etc/fstab


   none /tmp usertemp binary,posix=0 0 0


Mounts the windows temp dir to /tmp - perhaps it should be


   none /tmp usertemp binary,noacl,posix=0 0 0
