Follow-up Comment #6, bug #63286 (project octave):

Re comment #4: the paths to fmincon are different before and after the update,
as are the versions. It looks like the update fixed the bug, whatever its
cause. When you restarted Octave, it picked up the most recent location for
each package. I believe that's set only once at startup.

Re comment #6: could you post the link when I can find that example and try
it? Which version of Matlab?
