Follow-up Comment #9, bug #61711 (project octave):

I pushed a change that covers what I described as the first part in comment
#6:

That might break compiling some third-party code that instantiates the
Array<T> class template with new types. But if it does, we'd notice that
something was going wrong the whole time.

I'll try to look into how to sort out exporting template class instantiations
(with specializations!) along the lines of what LLVM does in this case.
