Update of bug #32008 (project octave):
Status: Patch Submitted => Ready For Test
Operating System: GNU/Linux => Any
Planned Release: None => 9.1.0 (current default)

Follow-up Comment #15:
realized never circled back to this. still pushes clean to default and passes
all tests. examples still behave as expected. I couldn't find an example
problem that ran differently or broke anything, likely because previously
setting bounds to +/- realmax never came into play unless there was another
issue with the problem.
