Follow-up Comment #12, bug #51333 (project octave):
@sarrah, can you comment on this code versus your bug #61690 patch? is it
basically the same thing but applied to dot since that's a standalone
function? could the same thing be applied to all of these other functions @Kai
mentioned in comment #1? can tests be added to this patch to ensure it
solves the problem and no future regression?
(I checked and the patches still apply cleanly. I attached a patch file that
has all the changes as a single patch)
