Follow-up Comment #20, bug #63415 (project octave):

I can confirm the asserts for octave-8.1.0-w64.zip using the GUI.
For the example below, fwrite leads always to an m_eye.bin with 119950 Bytes
instead of 120000.

7.2.0 works and 8.1.0 CLI seems to works also.
