                  Status:                    None => Ready For Test         
         Planned Release:                    None => 9.1.0 (current stable)

I tested and can confirm that the patch stops the crash from happening.

Since this patch is fixing a repeatable crash in Octave 9, I pushed it to
stable here: https://hg.savannah.gnu.org/hgweb/octave/rev/907ee6f8d6dd
