Follow-up Comment #5:

@Markus: I reviewed the patch and it looks great.  I made a small change which
was to rename "is_tickdir_both" to just "tickdir_both" in the function
prototype for render_tickmarks().  I also added documentation for the "both"
option in genpropdoc.m.

Marking bug as Fixed and closing report.
