Follow-up Comment #12, bug#65153 (group octave):

I pushed the following changeset on stable:

I believe it fixes the problems reported here.  It doesn't fix the related
problem with incorrect results from the isargout function.  The new test file
I included in the changeset tests both the problem reported here and the
isargout problem.  I used this bug number (65153) for both sets of tests.  So
please don't close this report unless we also create a new separate report for
the isargout problem and also update the bug number for the isargout tests.
