I installed octave-9.2.0 on my laptop, and when I launch the GUI an extra
console window show up that echos all input and output.
I'm running windows 11 (23H2, build 22631.4317)
After some googling I found this way to get rid of the console window
settings->System->For developers->Terminal.
Than select "windows console host" instead of what it was set to (Let Windows
Decide).
Found that solution here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/octave/comments/1cv0knf/octave_opens_cmd_as_command_window_when_i_try_to/?rdt=36288
Not sure if this is a new issue for windows 11, 1st time I saw it.
