Follow-up Comment #28, patch #8919 (project octave):

After the last few changes, the buildbots using clang seem to be happy again.

I couldn't find a setup that was working without clang or gcc moaning. So I
used different code for each of them.
That isn't ideal. But I hope it is ok.
I'd be happy if someone could show how that works for both compilers without
having dedicated code for each.
