Follow-up Comment #1, patch #10170 (project octave):
One can ask why a separate file rename dialog is needed in the first place.
E.g., in Dolphin (KDE/Plasma) and Windows Explorer, just clicking a file name
and hitting the <F2>-key allows one to change the file name (excl.
extension).
Could the file browser be fitted with the same functionality?
