I've applied this patched version (from OpenVortex CVS) to my ALSA 0.9.8
source. So far, I've not noticed many real changes to my system's behavior.
It's possible that it corrected the occasional OSS emulation crackling problem
that I was having. It's a bit early for me to tell though (I'll let you know
tomorrow). Again, I wasn't having any notable problems before, but I figured
I'd test it anyway. Here's my "lspci -v" just for your information...
