Charles answered in terms of the general config, and he's of course
correct (he should be as he's the one writing the code =8^).

There are however a couple exceptions he neglected to mention, that are
standardized file format and thus can carry over.

1:  The score file is the same and the same used by certain other news
clients.  Thus, it can carry over.  I believe the default location is the
same in both versions, but the old version could customize the path and I
don't believe the new version can (yet?).  If the user had moved the old
score file into the pan data dir, as is common where it isn't being
shared, they'll of course either have to move/copy/symlink it back or
start over.

2:  Newsgroups should be exportable from the old pan and into the new one
using newsrc files, which both old and new pan can import/export.
