I would like to propose that messages in "ignored" threads are marked as
"read" immediately upon downloading or otherwise removed from the "unread
articles" count.
There's a couple threads in the main SpamCop newsgroup on the SpamCop private
news server that I would like to ignore, however, simply marking them as
"ignored" does not reduced the unread article count.
Secondary to that request would be to reinstate the "mark thread read" option.
That's an option that *I* really miss. Of course, it is generally easy enough
to go to the beginning of a thread and then scroll down to the bottom of the
thread, and mark everything between the two and then hit the "m" key.
However, that involves between about 3 and 5 steps, and since I'm doing this
through a VNC session, tunnelled through SSH every keystroke is precious. :-)
Thanks...
John
PS... guess I oughta go file a wishlist item in Bugzilla. :-)
