Hiya all:

I fancy I can decode the yEnc. The question is; once decoded, what do I have?

Thanks -Rick

There seem to be several choices for a yenc decoder in various Linux
distros. Have you searched for a yenc decoder? It's been a long time
since I used one, but as I recall the process wasn't difficult.

Greetings:

When I select a header file indicating yEnc encoding to download I get a larger
"attachment" file and a collection of .msg files. What is in the attachment
file is a mystery, but it is some sort of amalgamation of the information in the .msg
files.

The .msg files contain a header section and a yEnc encoded binary data section.
I assume this to be image data for a single image. I can run a rough decode
over the data by subtracting out the 0x2a that was added to the data characters
as part of yEnc process and ignoring escapes. Then scanning the decoded data I
can find no indication of what the data is or what the format is.

Do you know? Do you know where documentation of this product exists? How to use
these products? I live in the Linux world.
