You could try installing the package built for Edgy.  Plash 1.18
requires glibc >=2.4 to be installed to build so it won't build on
Dapper without upgrading to Edgy's libc, but the version of PlashGlibc
built on Edgy should work on Dapper.

Dapper has glibc 2.3.6 according to <http://packages.ubuntu.com>.
