I've finally managed to get rid of the last uses of libglade, and
converted everything to GtkBuilder instead. The immediate benefit
of doing this is that there are no dynamically loaded libraries
required, which seemed to be the bane of package maintainers' lives
especially on windows systems.
I had to hack a few places where the conversion didn't go smoothly, so
if you notice any problems with the GUI in the master branch, please
let me know.
