We have just to move the command line interface to a client speaking to qemu through the DBUS interface.
Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!! The command line monitor is one of QEMU's greatest strengths! Don't replace it and for the love of Pete, don't force another library dependency on us! Add an optional interface, sure.. but don't go making it mandatory.. pretty please with sugar! -- "Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so." -- Douglas Adams
