get a backtrace with 'bt'. you'll probobly want to compile a ratpoison
with debugging symbols. use './configure --enable-debug'.
Other points of interest: is this out of CVS? Can you bust it
reliably?
I'll be able to take a look in a couple of days if you don't figure it
out in the mean time.
