Hmm, seen it, but it just seems like a massive amount of work just
because groups work a little odd... I may have to try it out myself,
but admittedly, I just glanced over it last I saw that.

Use:
set wildmenu
set wildmode=longest:full,full

Then do something like
:set wild<TAB>
<TAB> to continue cycling
