typically you can:
apt-get source rdiff-backup
cd rdiff-backupversionfoo
./debian/rules binary
and that will build new .debs for your system... i haven't tried this with
the recent rdiff-backup sources, but it tends to work for me on my woody
systems for all the packages i've tried.
