Hi there, I was using the following script on a cron job to invoke
rdiff-backup. It worked once, then failed because it couldn't find file
"esystems". Now if I try to invoke it again to continue the aborted backup
I get simply:
Error: Too many arguments given
See the rdiff-backup manual page for instructions
The script is here:
#!/bin/sh
BACKUP="rdiff-backup --remote-schema '/bin/netcat %s 2711' "
REMOTE="butler.office.bytemark.co.uk::/backup/geri"
$BACKUP \
--resume-window 21600 \
--exclude-device-files \
--exclude-other-filesystems \
--exclude "/.*\.o(bj)?$" \
--exclude "/.*\.class$" \
--exclude "/\.xvpics$" \
--exclude "/.kde/share/thumbnails" \
--exclude "/\/\.*cache.*" \
--exclude "/home/mattbee/builds" \
--exclude "/var/cache/apt/archive/*.deb" \
/ $REMOTE
I've tried upgrading both ends to 0.11.4 from 0.10.6 to no avail-- any idea
what's wrong? I'm using it on a Debian/unstable system at each end with
Python 2.2.
thanks,
