[rdiff-backup-users] Reposting some old messages

Hi, I moved recently and had some trouble sending mail (smtp
authentication issues).  It looks like the mailing list has silently
disposed of my messages (although some of the people I CC'd seem to
have gotten them).  So I am going to repost the messages that appear
not to have gone through.  Sorry for any inconvenience.
