Hello,
I'm currently running 3 different rdiff-backup setups on ~23 servers. 21 out of the 23 servers work great. The two that are having problems are, rdiff-backup on a rhel4 box to a freebsd backup server, and a freebsd box to a centos5 backup server. Both of them exhibit the same problems, they will hang and cause 90+% of the cpu usage. They appear to work "some" of the time. The 23rd server (freebsd -> centos5) is around 83 gigs; at least 10 gigs of data changes every night. Does anyone know what would cause this, if you need more information; let me know.
The 21st server is running 1.0.5 going to a 0.13.6 backup server.
The 22nd server is running 0.13.6 going to a 1.0.5 backup server.
The rdiff-backup commands I'm running:
$RDIFFBACKUP --force -v 6 --include-filelist $INCLUDE --exclude-device-files --exclude-fifo --exclude-filelist $EXCLUDE $BSOURCE $DESTINATION &> $LOGS
Where $BSOURCE === the backup source and $DESTINATION == the backup server.
Thanks,
