Hello everybody,
After readed the whole archive (it took me a long time) i haven't
(totally) found an answer.
Here is my problem:
I used rdiff to backup Windows folders of several machine on a Debian
etch server. The backup are done by a batch on the windows machine by
calling rdiff.exe and plink through the CMD of windows XP or VISTA.
Its work great:
I can backup c:/mydirectorie , c:/MyPics/y&urPics etc...
But when i tried to backup c:/réc or c:/àlcol its create on the debian
folder names like c:/r?c or c:/?lcol.
Aparently i am not the only user with this kind of strange things.but
aparently there is no real solution?!
I have found the post *[rdiff-backup-users] [PATCH] Unicode support on
Windows
<http://lists.nongnu.org/archive/html/rdiff-backup-users/2009-04/msg00018.html>*,
/Josh Nisly/, 2009/04/08
But i dont understand how to use the patch even if i am sur it can
help me.
Its a python script so it must be used on the LInux side to rename the
strange folder names after the backup batch?
where can i found the attached files containing the script?
Thanks a lot
