Summary: FAQ entry "why to log in"
Original Submission: This title of this FAQ should be "why log in" (as on the
panel on the left). "Why to log in" is the infinitive form, but in the context
of the question it should be the ... oh, I don't know :-) but it should be "why
log in" not "why to log in".

Actually, that examnple wasn't very good, because the context isn't the same as
the log in question, but it's still the same grammatical construction.

No, that would imply the question was being asked as the user was logging in.
THe question is posed before log in, as an explanation of why the user should
log in. It should be either "Why should you log in" or the equivalent, but
shorter, "Why log in".
Example:
"I'm going to drive to the shop."
"Why drive? It's not far, you could walk."
This is "why drive" not "why to drive" or "why driving"
