Hello,

Some of you may know that spring cleaning is in progress in the package
web pages. The idea is to get rid of obsolete features such as
translation lists at the bottom of the page or old banners. I prepared
patches, and since maintainers are very busy, I offered to apply them.
So I committed to 23 different repositories without any problem between
April 15 and May 6 (11:34:30 UTC). But the 4 commits I attempted on May
8 and 9 (to the gnudos, gnutrition, leg and smalltalk repositories)
failed with that sort of error:

/webcvs/leg/leg/index.html,v <-- index.html
new revision: 1.21; previous revision: 1.20
cvs [commit aborted]: could not open lock file
`/webcvs/leg/leg/,index.html,': Permission denied

I now realize that the server has been migrating to a new host on May 5
and 6. Is there any possibility that permissions on those lock files
have changed? According to CVSROOT/config, they are located in
/var/lock/cvs/web/[package].

If the permissions did change, was it intended?

Thanks in advance for any clue.
