I'm trying to install the package in a local user without sudo permissions. I
used
apt-get download locate
dpkg -x locate_*.deb ~/.local
When trying to run *updatedb.findutils* it tries to use *usr/libexec/frcode*
which can't do without sudo permission.
from the installation I have *~/.local/usr/libexc/frcode* but I have no way
(that I know of) to give this information to *updatedb*. I think that either
*updatedb* should use a relative path to search for *frcode* or allow to give
the path as an option
