problems - can't re-attach after detaching

Occasionally, running Screen version 4.00.02 (FAU) 5-Dec-03, on a solaris-10
box, I cannot reattach after detaching. When I try to attach, it responds
that it is already attached. If I detach it, it says it is detached, but
when I try to re-attach, it still thinks it is attached. I've tried the
"power" detach, but the result is the same.

Naturally when I go to try this now to show you, it doesn't act the same.
Still can't attach, but when I try to -d or -D to detach, those procs just
sit.

Any ideas?
