I hope to make the release in less than a week.

Since the preceding snapshot, there have been
  - documentation additions
  - build and portability fixes
  - test fixes/improvements
  - a lot of motion in the underlying gnulib library

Bottom line: things should be better, but definitely worth
testing, to ensure there has been no regression.
