Hi Assaf,
Thank you again for all of that work.
I have just downloaded/applied all of that and have begun to look. One
nit so far:

"make distcheck" fails with this:

  make[1]: *** No rule to make target `testsuite/dc.good', needed by
`distdir'.  Stop.
